Rescues
Meet Chico!!!!
This adorble little fellow is looking for his forever home. Chico is a senior dog, about 10 years old. Chico has a very good dispositon, he is sweet, and a real cuddler. He had surgery to remove several teeth, and the rest cleaned. He is now resting to get over the trauma of being hit by a car, remarkably no internal injuries, even though he had a large hematoma on his chest, and many open wounds on his legs. The vet expects a really good out come. Kidney function is fine. Blood work good. Chico is a happy dog, wagging his tail now. He was scanned at the ER and my vet , no micro chip found. He was found on the porch of a man who didn't want him who call his current foster angel who took the time to earn his trust and get him the vet care that he needed. At this time he is very thin and they are working to get his weight back to where it needs to be. He is a special needs dog!! His new family will need to be willing to take over his vetting expense!!! If you are intrested in this special little guy, please contact Michele at 304-633-3567 or email her at mchel853@earthlink.net
Meet Skeeter!!!!
This is Skeeter, he was rescued from an abusive situation about a year ago when he was only 6 months old. He has since been staying with a foster family, he is about 1 1/2 years old now. He is a sweet little guy and desperately needs a loving home to call his own. His foster family has worked alot with him, he is nervous like most small dogs, and very untrusting of adults, especially men. He is getting better though. He suffers with IBS, but it has been under control with a modified diet. He has bonded with his foster family, but is not needs more attention than they can give. They love him, but for his sake they want to find him an appropriate atmosphere so he can live happily and healthy. He is young and full of energy, but would do best in a home with an older couple or person. A quiet home would be best with no small children or large dogs. He needs to be the center of attention and be in a place where he feel he can be safe and relax. If you or anyone you know may be interested in meeting Skeeter please contact Capri at (304)525-0815, or email her at veganmama3@care2.com. A home visit and adoption fee are required. Skeeter is UTD on vaccines & neutered. He is located in Huntington, WV.
Meet Chico #2!!!!
This is another Chico in search of his forever home. He is a young man with a DOB of 4/12/2006. He is a sweet dog with adult women and is house broken and crate trained. He is neutered. He is being placed and he is afraid of men (current owner got him when he was 11 months) and he has started to become destructive to her daughters things (just the daughters, like crayons and ink pens). He needs a home with a single woman or an elderly woman. He loves to be on his persons lap and go for walks and car rides. If you are intrested in this fellow, please contact Kelley at kelley40@live.com.
The above dogs are not offered by us and have their own adoption fee and policy. Please contact the foster parents for more info.
our adoption fee for any rescue is $60. This covers the following:
-2 De-wormings with Prowormer 2 (Like Nemex 2)
-a 7 in 1 booster if needed
-flea protection with frontline plus
-Transitition to Eukunaba Small Breed Dog Food
Each rescue will go with a spay or neuter contract if not already altered, no exceptions.
A rescue can be a pup that we have taken back in honor of our contract, a stray that we found, a dog that was given to us or one that we got from the pound so they didn't get put down. We will help any chi or mix-chi that is in need of a home. All known info will be added about the dog, including any special needs or dislikes that the animal has. Please do not be offened if you call about a resuce and we decide that you would not be a good home for him or her. These little ones have already had a rough start and we want to make sure that we place them in the best home possible, and remember adult dogs will not adjust as fast as a pup would, and will require more work on everyones part. Some rescues may not be able to go to homes with children, however, we may not know if a rescue will be okay with smaller kids, as our son is a teen. We will be able to test the temperment with older kids, other chihuahuas, a large dog and also cats. Each recuse will be with us a mininum of 3 weeks to allow for wormings and food transitition.
